You're Invited! Magnolia Festival Throw Back Thursday Spirit Night, Jim n Nicks, Gardendale Thursday, April 21, 5:00-8:00. Come and Go. I wanted to invite the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, Gardendale City Council and Mayor, and former members of both groups, especially those who had a part in creating the Gardendale Magnolia Festival in 2002 to the Throw Back Thursday spirit night at Jim n Nicks-Gardendale. The idea is a take-off on Facebook's Throw Back Thursday photos. Each week the Magnolia Festival has posted a Throw Back Thursday set of pictures from the last 15 years of the festival. Jim n Nicks suggested this idea as a way to get involved in the festival and have graciously offered their restaurant as a venue for those that started the festival, those that make it happen today, and anyone else that would like to enjoy some free music on the patio and reminisce about the last 15 years of the festival! The event will be the night before the 15th Anniversary of Gardendale Magnolia Festival so it's perfect timing to come out and enjoy visiting with people that have been instrumental in the festival for the past 15 years. This is a Spirit Night, so 10% of your ticket will benefit the production of Jugtown Turnaround, an original play presented at the festival this year about how Gardendale got it's name. Proceeds from the play benefit Gardendale Historical Society. Please forward this email or create an email of your own to invite members of your group. This is not a closed event; the public is also invited. Thank you, Kathleen Phillips Gardendale Magnolia Festival, Coordinator 205-913-0538 gdalemagfest@gmail.com MagnoliaFestival.org
