With affordable quality housing, two exceptional school districts, plenty of recreational space, and variety of retailers there is always something to do. Whether you are taking a stroll through one of our nature trails, getting lost in a book at one of our coffee shops, or taking in a local sporting event there is something for everyone to love about Friendswood.
Friendswood has been consistently recognized as one of the best places to live in the nation, Bay Area Houston magazine recently awarded Friendswood the “Best City to Live,” and in 2011, Family Circle magazine named Friendswood “One of the Best Towns for Families.” In 2009, Friendswood was named one of Business Week magazine’s “Best Affordable Suburbs in the United States.” Friendswood has also been included twice in Money Magazine’s Top 100 best places to live in the US. The community has a deep rooted history that has continued flourish. Since it’s establishment in 1895, as a Quaker Colony by Frank Jacob Brown and Thomas Hadley Lewis, the core values of the community have only grown stronger and continued to be family, fellowship, and of course friendship.
