TJW students are superheroes!
Today TJW students learned how to be superheroes through music performed by local singer and songwriter Jared Campbell. The students learned some valuable anti-bullying lessons while singing along to several tunes with Campbell. They learned that they can be superheroes by being responsible with their words and actions, being a friend, and by doing the right thing. Campbell will be performing at GFJ later today. He performs throughout the region and country, bringing his anti-bullying message to students in grades K-5.
Student musicians honored at recital
Nearly 20 student musicians across the district were honored for their NYSSMA performances at the annual Crawford Stahl Invitational Recital. Each year, the best fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-grade instrumental soloists are invited to perform. They are selected based on their NYSSMA performance rating. During the recital, judges rate the students and select the most outstanding band soloist and the most outstanding string soloist. This year Luke Pylypciw won both band and strings.
