REMINDER: Nation's Escape bike pick up will be available from 8am - 12pm today. Please bring your timing chip and wristband to claim your bike. We've received several athlete responses about not receiving our notification emails. Please check your spam folder and filters as several athletes have found our update emails in there.

Nation's Escape Athletes: For any athlete who has their bike in transition, you may pick up your bike before 6pm tonight. You will need to bring your timing chip and wristband to get back into transition. We understand your frustration and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. If you cannot pick up your bike before 6pm tonight, you may pick up your bike tomorrow from 8am - 12pm.

Nation’s Escape Triathlon Update: Due to current weather conditions and anticipated storm activity, tomorrow’s Nation’s Escape Triathlon has been cancelled. Safety of our participants is our top priority. We thank our athletes, fans, and partners for their support and understanding.

IMPORTANT RACE UPDATE: As of 9 a.m. EDT, the Department of Energy and Environment notified race personnel, that due to last night’s storm, a sewer overflow occurred, resulting in the rescinding of the approved permit and the cancellation of the swim portion of tomorrow’s Nation’s Escape Triathlon. The safety of the participants is our top priority. The race will continue with a modified race course, which will include a 5k run, 40k bike and 5k run starting and ending at West Potomac Park. We will proceed with a 7 a.m. Olympic race start time and an 8 a.m. sprint race start time. The sprint race will include a 1-mile run, 26.5k bike and 5k run. More info to come...
