The STHS ER Monte Cristo is officially open and ready to provide exceptional patient care! This new freestanding emergency department is located at 3615 N Interstate 69 C in Edinburg, and will be staffed with the same medical personnel and equipped with the same diagnostic technology available in all of South Texas Health System hospital-based emergency rooms.

We had a great time giving our community an early look at South Texas Health System’s new freestanding emergency department and providing free health screenings. The STHS ER Monte Cristo will officially open to the public tomorrow, January 9th at 8 a.m.!
Be sure to join us for our January Senior Supper at Edinburg Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, January 9 starting at 4:30 p.m.! This monthly program provides seniors, age 55 and older, with a chance to enjoy a delicious meal and receive information about important health topics. Meet Damian Joseph Ortega, South Texas Health System’s first baby of 2018! Proud parents Andrew Ortega and Stephanie Cantu came to Edinburg Regional Medical Center at 4 a.m. on New Year’s morning, where Damian was born at 8:42 a.m.! Baby and mom are doing great and will be headed home soon!
