The STHS ER Monte Cristo is officially open and ready to provide exceptional patient care! This new freestanding emergency department is located at 3615 N Interstate 69 C in Edinburg, and will be staffed with the same medical personnel and equipped with the same diagnostic technology available in all of South Texas Health System hospital-based emergency rooms.

Meet Damian Joseph Ortega, South Texas Health System’s first baby of 2018! Proud parents Andrew Ortega and Stephanie Cantu came to Edinburg Regional Medical Center at 4 a.m. on New Year’s morning, where Damian was born at 8:42 a.m.! Baby and mom are doing great and will be headed home soon!
