BRING THE KIDS!!! GREAT FOR THE FAMILY!!! It's Talk Like a Pirate Day ! Tuesday, September 19 from 12 to 6 p.m. Argh, All Ye Mateys, & Shiver Me Timbers ! September 19 is National Talk Like A Pirate Day and you are all invited for the fun. Make a craft, hear a story, play games, take a Pirate class, and enjoy the fun. There is something for everyone. Remember, wear a costume and talk like a pirate! At 3 p.m. Pirate concert with Stuart Markus & Robin Greenstein! They will be singing sea shanties for the enjoyment of pirates of all ages.

For Eclipse Day, August 21, 2017, at East Meadow Public Library: • 2111 people came to the Library • 1300 pairs of eclipse glasses were given out • 750 paper pinhole projectors were crafted • 300 chalk corona drawings were created • 100 eclipse cookies were built • 75 eclipse clocks made • 30 3D printed pinhole viewers formed • 1 eclipse play premiered Come and discover all that East Meadow Public Library has to offer you.

TOMORROW ART EXHIBIT: The Art of Marian Rowland Month of August Marian Rowland is a classically trained painter, a graduate of Tyler Fine Art School in Philadelphia. She has been painting unique, original works for 60 years. Her art falls into several categories: · Original paintings with unique stories to tell · Landscapes · Soul portraits · Museum quality restorations Her work is considered by many as ahead of her time due to the abundance of nudes and challenging themes. Well, it seems the world may have finally caught up to Marian, as her work is starting to gain an appreciative audience. Join us for the Opening Reception.
