facebook.comMarch is National Social Services Month. This month we honor our Social Worker, Carter Dozier, and thank her for her dedication, professionalism and heartfelt caring for our residents and patients. She is truly a very important part of the Extendicare Team! Also, we thank all social workers and mental health professionals everywhere. Individuals who choose to work in this field possess the best qualities of what makes us loving and compassionate people.
Extendicare is happy to announce the addition of recently graduated LPNs to our staff. Last week, we enjoyed honoring them with a reception to say "Way to Go". We wish them all the successes in the world in their new career!
Last week was National Activity Professionals Week 2018. A huge thank you goes out to our wonderful Activity Staff and for all they do to make life at Extendicare a happy, enjoyable place for our residents. Watching all of them go about their day, it's easy to see that they do everything with their whole hearts. Congratulation to Tasha Caffee, Activity Director and fearless leader, and her staff Kayla Glover, Krystal Hall, Katelyn Devine, Kiva Knight and Destiny Walker. Along with recieving a gift of a beautiful monogrammed jacket, a celebration dinner was held at Longhorns last Thursday evening. Sorry I don't have pictures, but honestly we were having too much fun to stop and take pictures. I'll see if I can talk them into wearing their new jackets one day and sending me a picture.
Happy Smiling Faces! A few more of our gift card winners from last week. It's always good to have a little extra Christmas cash! Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!
Extendicare's Employee Christmas Party 2017! Fun was had by all!
We can't thank our community enough for their support throughout the year, especially at Christmas. The Ashford High School Junior BETA Club donated their time to come and decorate Christmas cookies with our residents. Wonder if any cookies were eaten or should I ask how many were eaten???? Thank you Ashford!!
Our Christmas celebrations are in full swing. From our Length of Service brunch last week to honor all employees that have 5 years or more of service, to our Walmart $25 gift card give away last week and this week, we are having a very merry Christmas at Extendicare. Merry Christmas to all from all of us at Extendicare.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Extendicare, Somerset and Whitehall. We are all in the Christmas spirit looking at the beautiful decorations! Merry Christmas!
The Ridgecrest Baptist Church GA girls made their annual visit to Extendicare to share smiles, songs and God's love with our residents. The girls always bring Thanksgiving door hangers to decorate the resident's room with some Thanksgiving cheer. Thank you girls! From the smiles on our resident's faces, you made their day!
We don’t have a special picture to share tonight but we do have so many moments and memories that compel us to say to everyone, (our precious residents, our supportive families, our patients and the Wiregrass community) how grateful we are for their support, love, appreciative words, and encouragement each and every day. You will never know the full impact of your kindnesses, words and actions. We are blessed to do what we do. For this we thank you.
We have celebrated National Healthcare Maintenance all this week. We are so grateful for these men who come when we call, always with a smile and ready to tackle any problem we may have. Thank you Greg, Andrew and Donnell for always being available and most of all for being willing to hear our problems and fix them. We couldn‘t make it a day without you!
