For both the Physician of the Quarter and Power of One awards, winners were nominated by their peers for exemplifying CRMC's Standards of Behavior, which include Ownership, Safety, Respect, Communication, Teamwork and Integrity. Our Physician of the Quarter recipient is Mario Santini, M.D. Our Power of One award winners are Crissy Bonin (Respect), Ashley Cox (Communication), Rose Baker (Ownership), Angelica Reyes, RN (Teamwork), Mike Busa (Safety), and Mickell Holmes (Integrity). Conroe Regional Medical Center wishes you and your family a fun, safe Halloween! Our employees started celebrating yesterday with CRMC’s annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest. We are lucky to have such a talented bunch at the hospital… Not only do they help to save lives, but they also are artists!
CRMC’s Peace, Love & Hearts had a groovy time at this weekend’s Heart Walk! We had more than 200 walkers on our team, which included employees, family members, and pets. As of now, Peace, Love & Hearts has raised almost $26,000 for the American Heart Association. CRMC is the leading CV hospital in Montgomery County and we’re proud to be able to strongly support the nation’s largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease.
This week marked Annual Respiratory Care Week! The yearly event, which is sponsored by the American Association for Respiratory Care, recognizes the respiratory care profession and promotes awareness of lung health issues and good health practices. Respiratory therapists are integral in improving the lives of those with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other respiratory illness. CRMC wishes our respiratory care practitioners and therapists an outstanding recognition week! Your commitment to improving lung health is very appreciated this week and every week.
CRMC is Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness! Our imaging team held a perfectly pink morning for employees and visitors to show their support for the special cause. The CRMC imaging department proudly offers the 28-gene Myriad myRisk® Hereditary Cancer test to patients. October is Physical Therapy Month! CRMC has an awesome PT team and we are so proud of the work they do! They strive to improve their patients’ strength, mobility, balance and ambulation, with the goal of improving function, and avoiding deconditioning and other risks associated with bedrest in the hospital. Additionally, the PT team helps determine appropriate discharge settings. This spirited group enjoys the interdisciplinary interactions that lead to great patient care. They truly are committed to improving patient outcomes!
