Compton Residents can obtain sandbags at each of our fire stations: Fire Station #1, 201 S Acacia Ave Fire Station #2, 1320 E Palmer St Fire Station #3, 1133 W Rosecrans Ave Fire Station #4, 950 W Walnut St You must bring a photo ID and proof of residency. Current limit is 5 per household. Additional sandbags can be purchased at Home Depot and similar retailers. Sand is available Monday-Friday 8am-2pm at the Public Works Yard, 458 S Alameda St. You must bring your own shovel to fill the sandbags. PW personnel will NOT be available to fill them for you. Sand is also available in front of Fire Station #4. Fire Department personnel will NOT be available to fill bags.
