Ben Aranda, 2017 Miller Prize Winner for Another Circle, returns to Columbus and joins us in Mill Race Park at "Another Circle" on Saturday, October 7. Featured on the front cover of Metropolis Magazine and in the New York Times, Aranda\Lasch’s Another Circle responds to the strong architectural elements already present in Mill Race Park, using 1,100 pieces of salvaged Indiana limestone to connect the round lake, the People Trail, and the river with a new 3.5-acre stone circle. While the design hearkens back to ancient henges and modern earthworks, its primary goal is to articulate fields of activity for contemporary park visitors. Meet us at "Another Circle" to hear from Ben, then join us at the Columbus Upland Pump House for a beer and a bite to eat.

Dwayne Oyler returns to Columbus at the end of October to spend some time with us on Sunday morning. This public program will take place at "The Exchange" where Oyler Wu Collaborative’s design fabricates a new space within the site by completing the geometries implied by three canopies, legacies of the Irwin Conference Center’s history as a drive-up bank. "The Exchange" has been called "porous but intimate shelters that look both new and like they should have always been there." Bring a cup of coffee and come experience the installation with one of the designers at this free community talk.
