Universities and their graduates should reflect their cities and neighborhoods, helping to lift them up. We’re proud of two alumni being celebrated in Columbus Business First's 40 Under 40. Congrats to Calvin Cooper '11, financial economics major and religion minor, and Elizebeth Maag L'08, JD, for your accomplishments in work, life and community. Remembered by professors as bright and hardworking, Cooper was active in undergrad research — one of only 75 students nationwide chosen for the prestigious Posters on the Hill. Today, he’s director of NCT Ventures. Maag is active in the professional network that helps prepare Capital University Law School students for practice as general counsel at CrossChx. She’s also the site coordinator at Cross Chx for Capital’s externship program, which develops law students’ practical skills and professional development through experiential learning.

Capital University has a powerful story to tell, and our best storytellers are from Capital. They’re the alumni, students, faculty, employers and community partners who bring our story to life every day when they live, learn and lead with purpose. So we asked them to help create this video. This is Capital’s story, created and told by us. Music by Columbus-based band Kid Runner, which was born out of Capital’s Conservatory of Music.
