Spread the word to other women in your church and get together with us for a great day of soaking in the Word with each other!

Ever have one of those "downer" days, weeks...sometimes months? Well, i know what that is like! It is apparent that life is a series of peaks and valleys, and some valleys seem more difficult than others. The great news is that in Christ, we know Someone is walking with us through it even when it seems no one quite "gets it" as to what is going on inside. Not only is Jesus there in Spirit, but there are others nearer than you realize who have been given grace by Him to impart to you--or you have been given grace to impart to someone else. Even the apostle Paul had times of inner conflict and fears within, so it is a help to us to know that even a man of great faith is just like us too. Are you experiencing what Paul describes in the passage below? Seek out your "Titus," who has been filled with grace and is looking for you to remind you that you are loved, you were created with purpose, and to press on with this purpose. God is not finished with you and Jesus wants not only to save you but to live in and through you. Perhaps you are Titus this week. Seek the one(s) the Lord has called you to lift up. The Lord has given you a wonderful encouragement to share and it would be most selfish to keep it. Lift up in Christ those around you today and this week, for it is better to give than to receive. 2 Corinthians 7:5-7--5 For even when we came into Macedonia our flesh had no rest, but we were afflicted on every side: conflicts without, fears within. 6 But God, who comforts the depressed, comforted us by the coming of Titus; 7 and not only by his coming, but also by the comfort with which he was comforted in you, as he reported to us your longing, your mourning, your zeal for me; so that I rejoiced even more.

Priscilla Shirer Simulcast

LifeWay Christian Resources and Going Beyond ministries are partnering to simulcast Bible teacher and best-selling author Priscilla Shirer, live from Tulsa, OK., on April 8, 2017. Temple Baptist Church of Clute, Texas is serving as a host location for the Brazosport area. Priscilla Shirer Live, sponsored by Nashville-based publishing company LifeWay Christian Resources, will feature Shirer’s dynamic storytelling and passionate Bible teaching. The event, which also features a unique prayer time, both challenges and encourages women to know God’s Word and grow deeper in their faith. Shirer has authored a number of published Bible studies, books, and devotionals specifically for women including LifeWay-published Bible studies such as Armor of God, Gideon: Your Weakness. God’s Strength, Jonah: Navigating a Life Interrupted, and Discerning the Voice of God. She also starred in the Christian film War Room, which has prompted many to deepen their relationship with God through prayer. Anthony Evans, who also happens to be Priscilla’s younger brother, is slated to lead worship for the event. Evans is a popular Christian recording artist, and many fell in love when he was featured on NBC’s reality show The Voice in 2012. The Priscilla Shirer Simulcast kicks off on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 covering one full day of music and worship and will also include a light breakfast, lunch and snacks; sessions led by Priscilla Shirer; and opportunities for fellowship with other women from the Brazosport community.
