facebook.comIt's time again for #boldcamperoftheweek! Our camper spotlight last week was pointed at Katie Pierce!!!! Katie is currently at an amazing 192 check ins (probably soon to be 193)! On the road to Gold! When we asked, she provided her awesome CG testimonial! Read it here: "At the end of July 2016 I had decided that at the age of 25 I wanted to finally see what I was capable of, physically. I’d never done competitive sports of any kind, didn’t run or work out like at all, and was the biggest and heaviest and most unhappy with myself I had ever been. I signed up for a 5k that day, trained on my own for several weeks, and successfully jogged the entire thing in October. I set a personal record (though there were very few previous records to beat, haha), and felt accomplished. However, I really hated running and ended up with minor injuries. I wanted to keep up the momentum but try something else...something more lasting, enjoyable, and effective. Around that time, CG trainers visited my work to promote their Total Transformation offer. It was a great price for one month of camp and I got a shirt just for signing up, with no obligation to fully commit to the 6/12 month membership unless I loved it. At the time I thought it would be a good way to learn some new things I could incorporate at home and be able to work out on my own. So I signed up and started going to camp in Cleburne with Andy. I did learn a lot, and quickly. I learned about form, stretching, and tons of exercises, as well as a bit about nutrition (although I learned way more of that down the road...spoiler alert! 😉). I also learned what CG was really about. The mission statement said it, sure...but I saw it in action. I felt the effects of it, first hand. I knew within a couple of weeks I had to commit. This was not only a great place to learn from knowledgeable trainers who truly care about their campers (I can’t emphasize how valuable our trainers are - I could write a paragraph for each of the SOJCO trainers!), but a community of people who would encourage each other in and out of camp, spurring each other on to come again and again to sweat through our clothes (even in the winter!) and push harder than we thought we could. Now a little over a year later, I’m still in love with CG. It’s become such a huge part of my life. The trainers, as I already said, have literally changed my life by believing in me, helping me set goals, and giving me tools (through exercise AND nutrition) to reach the goals I set. The community of CG has also changed my life. I never thought working out could be this fun. Yes it’s tough (ALWAYS) but with my fellow campers by my side, it’s worth it. Even if I forget your name, just know, if I work out with you, I’m SO glad you’re there. You inspire me, motivate me, and make me a better person by doing what you do. CG is a great concept, brought to life by the amazing people within it. I’m so thankful for the time I’ve spent as part of the CG family and hope to be a part of it for MANY years to come!" You are an amazing Gladiator, Katie! Always there to encourage and cheer for others! And you have achieved so much! Keep up your hard work!

Wutwut did you say? It's #boldcamperoftheweek time again!? This week's BCOTW is Kaela Holland!! Kaela joined us for the Birthday Camp and has been killing it since with an amazing 40 hours at camp working on achieving her goals! She's definitely going to level up to Bronze before 2018, get it girl! If you ask her about CG this is what she'll tell you: "I started CG in September, the birthday month. I thought what the heck, if I hate it, it was only $9. I got a few of my close friends to join with me. I had only seen CG on Facebook, and didn’t really know what it was all about. My very first camp, the trainer put us into teams. I was put with the two BEST MOST fit people out there. (Only because I was closest to the target). I apologized in advance because I knew how much I would slow them down. After every rep and every team challenge, my team members waited for me, cheered me on, and encouraged me to do my best. They weren’t put out by my lack of abilities. When I encouraged them to go ahead of me, they refused to leave me behind. That was the moment I fell in love with CG. I can’t even begin to explain what this program has done for me. I am not a people person, the thought of group activities makes me roll my eyes. BUT Camp gladiator has changed all of that. I have met so many incredible people. Everyone has to start somewhere, and there’s no body better than the campers out there who understand those struggles. When you hear someone yell from across the parking lot “you got this, you’re doing great” it gives you the nudge to keep going. Everyone WANTS to be healthy, but not everyone is working towards that goal. Surrounding yourself with folks who are in it for all the same reasons you are, and who want it just as badly as you do, is more than enough motivation. The trainers are some of the most AMAZING people I have ever met. Each trainer brings their own personal style to the workouts, and each personality motivates you in different ways. When you meet people who truly want you to succeed (probably more than yourself), it’s the most refreshing feeling. I’ve never stuck with anything like I have with CG and I 100% owe it all to these trainers. I am beyond blessed and thankful that I have crossed paths with every single person I have met at camp. When they say #CGfamily, they mean FAMILY." Kaela, we are overjoyed that CG has been a life changer for you! Absolutely cannot wait to watch you keep conquering your goals! Keep pushing hard, stay determined and consistent, and most importantly keep being you!
#boldcamperoftheweek is here again!! Our featured Bold camper this week is Amber Ritz!!! She currently has spent 92 hours at camp improving her fitness and her life! So close to Silver Status, Amber! When asked about her CG experience thus far, here is what she said: "I’m not really sure if it’s CG that has changed me or the trainers, Dariana Jordan in particular. I mean she is the reason I went BOLD in the first place. I finally got enough courage to come try CG, (of course it was PEAK week the best week especially for newbies), and her energy, enthusiasm and encouragement is what sold me to become part of the CG family. I have made lifelong friends that I can PARTAY with, if you get my drift… Everyone knows the fat kid loves cake joke. I swear that joke was made up about me! I have always been that person. I am an eater. I live to eat instead of eat to live. I have tried everything under the sun to lose weight, but dang it I couldn’t give up my addiction to food. Until I met Dariana and became apart of the CG Fit program. She set goals with me, met me at Starbucks one-on-one to go over a nutrition plan, met me at The Family Nutrition store to give a personal tour so I would know where to get the best nutrition for my plan. I am slowly but surely becoming healthier. She and CG have helped me to have something I have always lacked, self-confidence and perseverance. When I thought I had nothing left in me to push to the end at CG Games, she jogged alongside of me motivating and pushing me through to the finish line. She and CG have helped me be comfortable in my own skin. I love working out with everyone because no one is judgemental. Everyone gives high fives all around, yell for one another and encourage one another. We are all happy campers at CG. Several people I have talked to about CG have tried it out and have made the commitment to change their lives for themselves and their families. They want to become healthier and happier and will just like me all because of Camp Gladiator and their amazing trainers." Thank you for being so amazing and determined, Amber! Keep up your hard work and never lose your self confidence!!!
Never fear! #boldcamperoftheweek was not forgotten, just put on hold through the holiday weekend 😉 Last week's Bold Camper of the Week is Brenda Wilde!! Brenda joined CG at the end of June and has accomplished Bronze level with an amazing 59 hours spent bettering her health and fitness! Here is what Brenda has to say about her CG experience so far: "CG has been a Blessing to me in a lot of ways!! I am 60 yrs old and overweight, love food, and eat when I'm bored and stressed, stay at home nana couch potato. I've done it all on gyms, trainers, diets but CG is different! It's been the best thing I've ever done. I was so intimidated the first day, I thought man I can't do this but had wanted to try it for about 6 months! I kept seeing posts and it looked fun., but after meeting Ben he made me feel at home. I kept meeting people and they all went to school with my kids but they all welcomed me, even if I was the slowest on their team!!! Ben and Jessica make everyone welcome! We are a family now!! I look to him as a son and friend along with everyone else!!! We all encourage each other and keep each other going and it's amazing to see the change in everyone. At 60 I'm very proud of myself in doing CG. My siblings are very unhealthy and have health problems. I'm truly blessed with the health that I have and now I'm so much healthier after joining CG!! I love our CG family and can't wait to see where I am in a year!! Thank You Ben, God Bless You and Jessica! ❤" You are amazing, Brenda! And inspiring! May you have many accomplishments and meet many new friends throughout your CG journey!! We are proud to call you #CGFamily

Guess what time it is!!! 💥💥#boldcamperoftheweek!💥💥 Ame Hinson is our Bold Camper of the Week this week! Currently at 285 hours spent at camp improving her health and fitness! Ame is one of the kindest and most thoughtful people out there! When asked about CG, this is what she said: "Camp Gladiator is a phenomenal experience everyone should try. I attended a four week camp 1 ½ years ago and quickly became a proud member of the bold Camp Gladiator family. During my CG journey, in addition to becoming healthier, I have also met many amazing people. The CG trainers are knowledgeable, certified personal trainers who teach us how to stay healthy while getting fit. All of the CG trainers I have had the pleasure of meeting have also been very nice people who genuinely care for everyone who attends their camps. CG trainers are dedicated to ensuring every camper is correctly positioned during workouts to help us avoid injuries. They also strive to make our workouts fun, change exercises often to keep things interesting and guarantee every camp will be challenging. Each camp is an hour of cardio and weight training which is the perfect mix for me. I must also mention the music – it is always songs the trainer likes best and often has a great beat to help us stay energized while working out. Another huge benefit to being part of the Camp Gladiator bold family is the people I have gotten to know who have become my friends. CG campers are a very special group of people I encourage you to make a point of meeting. (Meaning you should definitely consider joining Camp Gladiator and working out with us.) During camps, we regularly hear campers shouting encouragement to others. We enjoy seeing other campers reach personal goals and loud cheers will arise when that special check-in is achieved. I am thankful for all of the CG trainers and the many campers who have blessed me in multiple ways. Becoming healthier is a goal of mine and thanks to the Camp Gladiator family, I am making progress. Thank you Camp Gladiator for providing the best trainers in the world and a safe environment for us to work out while having fun and making friends." Ame, you are amazing!! And you make our job easy! Keep up the hard work out there!
Aaaaaaaand it's BACK!! 🚨🚨 #boldcamperoftheweek!!!! Except this week is a duo that we just could not split spotlight! Together, Louis and Teresa Steed have logged an impressive 458 hours at camp!! When we asked them for a testimonial, here is what they said: Teresa's CG testimony: "I joined CG in July of 2015 and even though I was certain I was going to die after that first workout (in over 100 degree heat), I also knew I was hooked right away. Erica and Carsen Bevel were my trainers and I loved CG so much, I drove to Burleson or Crowley 4 days a week to workout with them. Soon, I was seeing and feeling a major difference in my body. I felt so strong and could do things I hadn't been able to do in years. About 6 months in, a visit to my Dr. convinced me even more. My cholesterol was down, I had reversed my osteopenia and my knees (which my Dr told me I would need knee replacement very soon) no longer hurt...AT ALL!!! After that first year of begging Erica to start a CG program in Cleburne, she finally found Andy! Now, I only have to drive a few minutes for my workout and it is AWESOME! This is the only fitness program I have ever stuck with for more than a few months! I know how important it is to stay strong and fit as you age and I don't plan on ever stopping.” Louis's CG testimony: "I have not worked out beyond walking in years. My wife, Teresa, had been trying for a year to convince me to go to CG with her and try it just one time. I was not interested. But, I really started to see the difference in her body and her energy and I decided to go to one free "buddy" workout. Well, that's all it took. I loved it and I was hooked. I had been having trouble with my knees for years and now...no more knee pain. I have strengthened all my muscles enough to stabilize my knees and they are no longer a problem. CG has been life changing for me! CG WUT WUT!!!" We love that you two are so committed to improving your health and fitness and that you are doing it together is just amazing! Thank you for being fantastic CG Campers!
🚨We have a new #boldcamperoftheweek!🚨 This week our spotlight is on Ashley Garcia!!! Ashley has currently spent 55 hours at camp working on her goals and she is not stopping any time soon!! If you ask her about her CG experience, this is what she will tell you: "When I first started CG it was a trial run for a camp in Alvarado. My first thoughts were, I mean I see some of my friends post about this and they seem to look like they are having fun, so why not it was free what was I going to lose?! So far the only thing I've lost is inches and pounds and let's be honest who doesn't love that!! After the first few workouts I was like I've got to sign up for this because 1. I need to exercise. 2. It's a NO JUDGEMENT ZONE and the SUPPORT SYSTEM is hands down amazing! It's a different workout every single time. Never the same thing. Yeah I've tried gyms and what not but this is by far 💯% the best exercise program I have ever done. CG has pushed me to go out of my comfort zone and push myself to do stuff I NEVER thought I could possibly do!! I mean who else can say that they actually had fun going and working out!! CG has helped me gain a ton of new friends and one heck of a support system!! Thanks CG!!" We love having you at camp Ashley! Keep up all your hard work 💪💪
