We've been in business for over 79 years as a family owned and operated dealership. We are located off I-25 at the Lincolnway exit.

We serve the cities of Cheyenne, Laramie, Fort Collins, Casper,Greeley, Loveland, Kimball, and the surrounding areas. When you arrive at our Service Department, you will find the accommodations clean and well lit. We have a newly remodeled customer lounge with a TV, free coffee, a snack machine, and free WiFi. Our certified technicians have over 125 years of combined experience with General Motors. We also provide a local shuttle for your convenience.

Our Parts Department has over 51 years of combined parts experience. We offer genuine GM Parts. We have the most current general maintenance parts in stock.

Our Collision Center is located on the NW corner of the building and is staffed by certified body technicians & painters.


Established in 1938, our founder, Ace Tyrrell first established his presence in the automotive industry in 1922 in Nebraska where he owned 9 dealerships prior to moving to Wyoming. He opened the  Tyrrell Chevrolet Company in 1938. Tyrrell Auto Centers is a third generation, full-service dealership. We have been at our current location since 1963.

Tyrrell Auto Centers supports many local organizations in the Cheyenne area. We sponsor the UW Cowboy Joe Club, local High Schools, Boys & Girls Club, Laramie County Fair, Mark Alan Doherty Scholarship, Wyoming Open Golf Tournament, High School 4-H, Kiwanis, Stampede, Greek Festival, American Cancer Society and many others.
