AMPHIB’s mission is to support local and state agencies, and individuals in the performance of their maritime SAR operations or recovery and survey  needs. Amphib a 501c3 organization's mission is to support the maritime and littoral operations it serves to benefit the Texas constituency. The particular areas served are not limited to the Eastern half of Texas, the 70 counties originating at Corpus Christi Northward through to Lake Texoma and Eastward remains the primary focus for its area of operation. The support offered to this area is inclusive of vehicular, supplies, monetary, specialized dive training, dive equipment, and dive operations.
Amphib seeks to extend the capability of readiness by housing key personnel and materials and is available for rapid response to provide governmental agencies, law enforcement, public safety and civilians with water rescue and recovery services. In order to provide such support, each diver and diver tender is required to either provide an individual set of dive equipment that is very expensive or simply avoid the opportunity to leverage their unique skill sets to serve our fellow Texans. There are even cases where divers leverage inadequate recreational grade equipment in hazardous and rugged environments. Not only does this expose these divers to unnecessary dangers, it creates a situation where the diver could in turn need to be recovered due to unnecessary imposed risk. Amphib will bridge the gap to the necessary equipment in order to allow the professional volunteers the opportunity to fully contribute their individual skills and capabilities without the hindrance of not having proper gear to safely execute the mission when called.
