Raven at rest. Mountain Raven passed away at the age of 32 last night. Raven had a long and active life. He was born in Kentucky. Had a short race career and ended up in a rescue in Maine a stallion. Rescued from the rescue he was gelded and brought to me to find a home. His home ended up here as a partner with Thorpe. They made trips to Acadia as well as a big outing to Saratoga Springs to go coaching with the rich and famous. He was a training model for my first edition of the retraining book. Than he became Jessica's show mount, doing anything and everything including wearing a knight costume. When Jess headed off to college he joined the drill team with Lori. went off showing again and tried some under saddle racing. His last rider was Delta who used him as a family horse. He came back into my care these past few years and passed his last year at MSSPA hanging out with his elderly girlfriends. Raven touched many lives.
