Flower Mound’s park directory page on the Town’s website just got better! Residents now have an even easier option to check out all the awesome parks, by utilizing the interactive map feature found here: http://www.flower-mound.com/parksdirectory. Find out where the parks are located, what amenities can be found at each location, and even search for nearby parks if you’re looking to visit more than one that day. In the future, Town staff plans to include park projects, different park categories according to amenities (playground, natural area, sports fields, etc.), and integrate more pictures as well.
Meet Barbie and Cleo - they're in search of furrrr-ever homes. Barbie is an 11-year-old Shih-Tzu who is already spayed. She is a playful girl, who loves attention and lots of affection! Barbie is friendly with everyone she meets, and hasn’t lost her curiosity to explore her surroundings! Cleo is a 3-year-old domestic medium hair, who is already spayed and current on her rabies vaccination. Cleo has been at the Adoption Center for several weeks after a medical condition forced her owner to have to surrender her. This sweet girl loves affection, likes to be brushed, and enjoys catnip, toys, and treats. You may notice the odd shape of Cleo’s ear – she was surrendered with ear mites, which Animal Services staff had treated, and she is now good as new! To learn more about Barbie, Cleo, or any other pets available for adoption with Flower Mound Animal Services, please visit www.flower-mound.com/animaladoptions.

At Monday’s Town Council meeting, Mayor Pro Tem Don McDaniel proclaimed today, February 22, as Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Day. Representatives from local PTA organizations, the Council of PTA’s, and the Texas PTA Board of Directors, were on hand to accept the proclamation. It is the mission of PTA organizations to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
