Race day! Come downtown and cheer on the 500+ runners! 3 more days until the Bridge the Gap race! We're so fortunate to have numerous volunteers to hand out water to runners, point the way at turns so no one gets lost (or ends up running 10 miles when they only plan to run 3! yikes!), hand our bibs to runners and more. BUT we're looking for one more special volunteer to do a very simple task that will take less than an hour starting at 9:45am this Sunday. We need someone with a truck to pick up boxes of discarded runner gear at the start line (Fort Knox) and bring it back to the finish line on Main Street in downtown Bucksport. You also get to follow the runners across the bridge (in your truck! you don't even have to run!) making this a very cool and important volunteer job.
