Since 1970, Saint Stephen's Episcopal School has established itself as an academic powerhouse welcoming families of all faiths. Current enrollment is approximately 720 students in grades Pre-K3 through 12. A college preparatory curriculum with integrity describes the academic program at Saint Stephen's, where small classes create a learning environment where dedicated faculty can do what they do best: teach.

Three Saint Stephen's teams in the finals at the Florida Georgia Certamen tournament? Yep. Gettin' ready to rumble! Saint Stephen's Latin students all made the Semifinals here (Novice team 3rd, Intermediate 4th and Advanced was 2nd after three rounds). All three won the semifinal match and are about to play in Finals!

The college football season ended on Monday night with Alabama topping Georgia in the national championship game. Two former Falcons also wrapped up successful 2017 seasons with bowl appearances. Wyatt Knopfke '15 helped Boston College to a 7-6 record and a close loss vs. Iowa in the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium. Jake Westberry '16 was part of a turnaround season at Fresno State that included a 10-4 record and a win over Houston in the Hawaii Bowl. Thanks to the BC and Fresno athletic departments for these great photos of our Falcon alums! #fearthefalcon

It's interesting that you can see something almost every day without really paying much attention - like this weather-beaten sign on 41st Street in front of the Intermediate School! The fine print says it was a gift from the Class of 1990. Any 1990 Falcons out there who know the story behind the sign?

Television and film production designer Danny DaVila talked about his craft at a series of presentations to all grade levels today - including this one with Upper School film students. DaVila has worked on TV shows including Burn Notice, Graceland, Tycoon and currently is the production designer for the ABC drama/comedy series Kevin (Probably) Saves the World. #worldclasseducation

Congratulations to wrestler Parker Lansberg! Over the weekend at a tournament in Naples, he became the first Falcon to record 100 career victories - a benchmark in high school wrestling. Senior teammates Jake Ross and Max Manning could join him as early as the next meet. #fearthefalcon

Here's what you missed if you weren't on campus last night: Boys basketball got a thrilling 51-50 win on a last-second basket by Jordan Edwards against Sarasota Christian, the girls led the Blazers 33-1 at the half and cruised to a 57-20 victory, and girls soccer battled public school powerhouse Lakewood Ranch to a 1-1 tie. #fearthefalcon

SSES is the only Manatee/Sarasota-area school that annually offers students the chance to attend these prestigious congressional and UN simulations (Columbia Model UN, Harvard Model Congress, Princeton Model Congress).
