Friendly, experienced staff, wonderful food and attention to detail--we bring a personal touch to your event. We are delighted to welcome you to the historic Col. L.C. Davenport home, built in 1902. The Colonel, lovingly nicknamed for his gentlemanly ways, was the local pharmacist and wanted to build a home "to be the showcase of Wells County". We think he succeeded. Fast forward 110 years and Sassafras blends the history of the Davenport home with a new menu and we hope to be a new tradition for your family and friends! In addition to our casual atmosphere, we offer a reception area for anything from Bridge groups to Wedding Receptions! Contact us for any of your meeting needs!

Incredible that it's this time again. Already. Thanksgiving Buffet--reservations, please! Also, we're booking December gatherings and I only have a couple of weekend dates left.
We have a private function tomorrow evening, so the dining room will be closed for evening service--November 1!
