Lemat Ethiopian Restaurant and Café welcomes you to enjoy selection of mouth-watering vegetarian, vegan and meat dishes with warm-hearted hospitality. Lemat Ethiopian Restaurant and Café is the place to enjoy delicious food, warm-hearted hospitality in the ambience of early home of civilizations.

Lemat is named after a hand-woven Ethiopian basket for injera, a large sourdough flatbread (heaven for gluten free dieters). Our vegetable, vegan and meat dishes are served in the form of wot, a thick stew, or tibs, a sautee of a grilled meat along with vegetables, served over injera.

To commemorate that the origin of coffee is firmly rooted  to  Ethiopia’s  history,  Lemat  also  serves  patrons  with  traditional Ethiopian  coffee ceremony. The displays in the restaurant are additional attraction on their own and tell the story of Ethiopia which many historians believe is the cradle of mankind.

You can now enjoy traditional German Style Craft Beers @ Lemat. The "ALT" which refers to the "OLD" style of brewing before Lager beers proliferated throughout Germany. The deep copper-brown color and the flavor brings back memories for my fellow Ethiopians, it is like "Tela", a home brewed beer. The Kolsch style Craft Beer is a beloved style of Beer developed in Cologne region of Germany. Both of our Craft Beers are from the local Brewing Company, Alameda Island. Both Beers go well with Ethiopian Food
