I just rescued two gerbils from what appears to be a hoarding situation. One is all black, beautiful female about a year old, pretty friendly. The other is a female too probably about 1.5 yrs old, friendly as well, seems to have lived a tough life so far. Both can be held and have shown no evidence of biting. Both gerbils are housed separately and are in a 10 gallon tank, w screen top and water bottle. Contact me if you are interested in one or possibly both. Unfortunately I can't keep them myself. Adoption fee is $10.00 only to assure they go to a good home.

can someone please rescue these two guinea pigs who look like they are living in deplorable living conditions and in need of a good home?

Since we were able to work together to find the pigs that I posted previously a good home, maybe we can help these guys out too...two male guinea pigs in need of a home.

I'm hoping someone can rescue these two pigs which I found on craigslist which someone is looking to "get rid of" because their daughter lost interest in them. I couldn't help but notice they are being kept in a small dirty cage and there is no food in their food dish. Click the link below https://longisland.craigslist.org/pet/6080538185.html

Hello Everyone, I hope all our gerbils and guinea pigs now in their forever homes are doing well. Feel free to send me some pictures, I'd love to see/hear about how they're all doing. I do miss breeding but, as I said, cannot devote the time to do so at this time. Hope this finds you all well and that you are enjoying your summer!

It is with a heavy heart that we share with you all that gerbil junction is, "closing its doors". After three years of breeding gerbils and guinea pigs serving the NYC and Long Island area we have decided it's time to stop breeding. We just do not have the time necessary to breed at this point. It is our hope that over the past three years we brought little creatures into the world who brought joy and happiness to others. It has been our pleasure to work with you all and adopt out our animals to your loving homes. I am hoping those of you who want to purchase guinea pigs or gerbils in the future will do so through a breeder as many big chain pet stores get there pocket pets from small animal animal mills where they are born and raised in deplorable conditions. I will keep this site up for those who have adopted from me who need to get in touch with me. Below is a compilation of pictures, some of my favorites, of our animals from the past three years of breeding. Again, thank you for all your support and keep loving your animals.

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ANY GUINEA PIG OWNER. Guinea Pigs are susceptible to a parasite known as Mange Mites As an owner you must be aware of the signs and symptoms of this condition. Signs can be scratching, biting, hair loss and in serious cases seizures. If you suspect one of your guinea pigs have mange mites, treat all the pigs you house together or pigs that have contact with one another as soon as possible. (Some guinea pigs can be carriers and not show any symptoms) Ivermectin is the treatment of choice. And don't worry your pig can't give them to you ast hese mites are species specific. The information on this link is incredibly valuable. Please read for the sake of your guinea pig. This condition is horribly painful for them. http://www.guinealynx.info/mites.html

Guinea Lynx :: Hay

Hay should be the foundation of every guinea pig's diet. Making up 75% of the diet and should always be available to the pig. It provides the necessary fiber for good digestive health and keeps teeth properly ground. Guinea pigs who have access to unlimited amount of hay are not only healthier but happier! In my experience Oxbow Timothy Hay is the best hay on the market for pigs. For more information on Hay click on the following link: http://www.guinealynx.info/hay.html
