How to Stay Healthy During This Summer Season and Keep Your Body and Mind in Shape: It’s getting warmer out there and we want to be healthy and happy! Here are some tips from BC’s Physical Education teacher Peter Prescott on how to make your summer more active and exciting! -Are you drinking enough water? Stay hydrated! Try to drink at least 2 liters a day. -Check out some of the beautiful inland waterways the NW has to offer. -Go for a swim! We’ve got a great natural pool in our own backyard – Puget Sound -Put down your car keys and ride a bike! You’ll save money on gas and get a great workout too! -Eating right is a major key to good health. Visit local farmers markets and get some fresh food. -Sign up for new fitness classes or join a gym. -Go ride a wave! The NW has some great places to go surfing. Check out Westport & La Push. -Get outdoors! Go for a walk, swim, bike, or try waterway recreation. Don’t spend your summer indoors when the NW has so much beauty to offer this time of year!
