American Legion Post 81
Description
Secundino Baldonado American Legion Post 81 is a private organization established for Military/Veteran Personnel and their Families. Eligibility for Legionaire Membership is to be/or have been in the Military and Discharged Honorably During a War Time Conflict. Auxiliary Unit 81 is a all female sub-group of the American Legion for the Spouses, Daughters/Step-Daughters, GrandDaughters, Mothers, and/or Sisters of Military/Veteran Personnel. Their is also Sons of the American Legion Squadron 81 which is a male sub-group for the Sons and Grandsons of Military/Veterans. We are a Family and take care of each other. We have a nice post for our members to come feel welcomed and safe, to have reasonable priced drinks, great meals, and fun entertainment. We also have a Riders Group who ride Motorcycle's to various Military/Veteran Events.
In 1919, The American Legion was founded on four pillars: Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth. Each of these pillars encompasses a variety of programs that benefit our nation's veterans, its service members, their families, the youth of America and ordinary citizens.

facebook.comIt is with great sadness that Post 81 would like to announce that Jerry Guthrie, one of the 5 original members and only remaining one, who got the charter going for Post 81 has passed away last night. Jerry was always a constant at the post, you could set your watch to him. He did many things for the post and always helped when the post was in need. Jerry will be missed by all. Post 81 offers our condolences to his 2 sisters and his brother in this time of need. We will keep everyone posted on services as they become available. RIP Jerry
We would like to offer our condolences to Bill Trefsgar and the family of Mary Trefsgar. We learned this morning that Mary passed away last night. Mary was a wonderful person and was always willing to help support any function at the Post. Rest in peace Mary! We will keep everyone up to date on services as they come in.

Hello Everyone, This is late getting out, sorry but I just got word of it today. We need help for The Memorial Service on Monday at the WAR HEROES Memorial in Jarales setting up chairs. If you can help please be there at 9 am The Memorial Service will begin at 11 Am Romero's Funeral Home will be providing refreshments after. They would also like to do a flag line. If you are able to help with this please be at the memorial park at 1000am Please feel free to share this information. Also just a reminder there will be no Breakfast this weekend. And the Post will be closed on Monday. Hope everyone has a safe weekend and let us keep all who have or are currently serving in our thoughts and prayers this weekend. Jeff
