Tropical Sun Bronzing Spa
Description
Tropical Sun Bronzing Spa is an elite tanning experience. Your natural color is where we begin, your desired color is where we take you. Indoor Tanning Basics
Indoor tanning uses the same ultraviolet (UV) light as laying out in the sun; however, you are able to control the amount and type of UV light with indoor tanning. This allows you to achieve an all-over body tan easier, and more gradually. With better control over exposure, it is easier to avoid harmful sunburns.
Indoor tanning can also be done at any time, and in any season, allowing you to retain your tan throughout the entire year, and at the most convenience to you. The private facilities also allow for nude, or partially nude tanning, which eliminates tan lines.
The gradual process of indoor tanning is only one of it’s benefits. Your tanning salon can also help asses your skin type to determine what method of tanning, and amount of exposure is best suited for you and your desired result. A base-tan will generally take 3-5 session to achieve the desired result. This amount allows your skin to slowly build the tan preventing overexposure and burning.
Skin Types
Knowing your skin type will help to determine what tanning method is best for you. Your salon will help you to determine your skin type and discuss your tanning options if you are unsure of what would achieve the best results.
Skin type generalities:
• Skin type 1: Always burns, never tans
• Skin type 2: Burns easily, tans slightly
• Skin type 3: Sometimes burns, tans gradually
• Skin type 4: Burns minimally, always tans well
• Skin type 5: Burns rarely, tans deeply
• Skin type 6: Almost never burns, deeply pigmented
Indoor Tanning Attire
Most tanning salons offer private rooms, so there are options as to what you can wear. You can wear a bathing suit, underwear, or be nude. Some people prefer to tan completely nude to avoid tan lines, creating a natural, all even tan. If you chose to tan nude, it is recommended to cover previously unexposed skin for a portion of your tanning session. Gradually increasing the tan on these areas is safer and will prevent overexposure of the area.
The most important thing to remember is to wear eye protection. The UV light and direct light can hurt your eyes, even when they are closed. Most salons offer a form of eye protection for your convenience.
Don’t forget to remove things like jewelry, watches, and band-aides to avoid white spots
Tanning Lotions
It is recommended that you use a tanning lotion. They are specially formulated with beneficial ingredients; such as, nutrients, vitamins, and minerals, to help you tan faster, darker, longer.
Tanning lotions also help to moisturize the skin, which is another method of making your tan last longer.
