Extend your celebration of superheroes and comics in our final unique hands-on art studio. On Thursday, the Marketplace will be transformed by artist Johnny Sampson, who specializes in humor comics. Illustrator Johnny Sampson will teach you how to create a “gag” cartoon of your own. "A new study in the journal Social Science and Medicine suggests that elderly people who read books have what authors call “a survival advantage” over those who don’t. Artists of all ages showed their creative side at our most recent comic book art Pop-up Comic Studio in the Marketplace with Paupers Art Guild. Join us for our final Pop-up Studio experience of the summer featuring illustrator Johnny Sampson from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11.
