Situated on a 17-acre site in beautiful Ames, Iowa, Reiman Gardens offers a year-round destination featuring distinct gardens, always changing, adapting, and evolving with the seasons. Explore a large variety of plants, aromatic herbs and beautiful roses, a towering palm tree, native prairie species, and so much more. Get tips and inspirations for your own garden, enjoy unique art and architecture, and relax in an indoor tropical oasis. In addition to yearly themes, special events, and an ever changing display of natural beauty, the Gardens also offers a tropical indoor Conservatory with seasonal displays, a 2,500 square foot Butterfly Wing with 800 exotic butterflies in flight, and a full-service Gift Shop featuring unique items.

TUESDAY, January 23, 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. (RESCHEDULED from January 11.) Hear from Bob Rust, ISU Professor Emeritus & local orchid aficionado, about his obsession with the second most diverse family of flowering plants on earth! Bring your lunch to the Gardens each month and enjoy a nature-based education program relating to the 2018 theme, Movement. Regional professionals and lecturers present on a wide range of topics. No pre-registration required. Free for Members, ISU Students Free with admission for the General Public
Crafty Cocktail Night has been rescheduled from today to next Thursday the 18th at the same time.
Join us at the Gardens after hours for a creative project while you sip on adult beverages in a beautiful setting! Add a unique splash of green to any indoor space by with kokedama, an ancient Japanese practice for displaying a plant. The result is a distinctive living planter. Dress for a little mess! This program is BYOB – you may bring a beer, wine, or non-alcoholic beverage for yourself. Must be 21+ to attend. Pre-registration with payment is required by Tuesday before each program. $10 Members & ISU Students $12.50 General Public

Saturday and Sunday, February 10 and 11, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Join Reiman Gardens for the annual Orchid Fest. Exotic orchids in a variety of species and colors will be on display and available for purchase both days. The Central Iowa Orchid Society will also staff a question and answer booth, providing both novices and experienced growers valuable insight on care and keeping of orchids. While at Orchid Fest, visitors can also discover live butterflies from around the globe in the Christina Reiman Butterfly Wing, explore the tropical Hughes Conservatory, and browse the Gift Shop bursting with unique and sustainable items. Free for members and ISU students. The general public pays $8 for adults, $7 for seniors ages 65+, $4 for kids ages 4-17, and free for kids ages 3 and under. No registration required.
Saturday, February 10, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Join HyVee florist Marical Greenwood in this intensive workshop to create your own floral display to take home or give to a dear friend. Marical will walk you through the process of designing a tabletop arrangement with a variety of floral materials in pinks, reds, and whites, including flowers like chrysanthemums, roses, lilies, and blazing star. A selection of accessories, such as bows and hearts, will also be available. Great opportunity to bring a friend and design together! Pre-registration with payment is required by Tuesday, January 30 to order materials in advance. $44 Members $55 General Public $37.40 ISU Students
