NCMS is one of the cornerstones of fleet communications. Our mission as the primary naval force provider for Communications Security (COMSEC) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), will guide and support proper distribution and handling of COMSEC material.

NCMS Personnel once again helping the local community. IT3 Henry, IT3 Dahl, YN3 McClellan, IT3 Munoz, and Ms. Gray assisted the Arlington Food Center by bagging food for families in the Arlington area.

NCMS holds Command Family Cookout. Family and friends were able to dine on hamburgers, hotdogs, and ribs courtesy of the grill masters Senior Chief Sims and IT1 Daggins. There was music and entertainment in the form of a Pie in the Face Contest, Kids Scavenger Hunt, Cornhole, and a volleyball game. The Grand Prize winners of the Pie in Face Contest were IT1 Potter, ITC Fiddelholtz, IT1 Turner, Mr. Wright, IT3 Riverazapien, and IT1 Rogers. The contest helps raise funds for the Annual Holiday Party. Thanks to all who donated food, time, and effort which made the Command Cookout a fantastic event for all who attended.

NCMS held a Change of Command on May 19th at 1000 where Commander Information Forces with family members and friends in the audience. Commander LeCounte is transferring to US Forces Japan. NCMS would like to thank all participants and visitors for making the ceremony a great one.

NCMS takes pride in recognizing the following personnel for their acheivements. IT2 Munafo, IT3 Henry, and IT3 Hall received Good Conduct Awards. ITSN Dahl received Warrior of the Month for January 2017. IT2 Rusco-Brooks and IT3 Hall received their end of tour Letters of Commendation. IT2 James, IT3 Armstrong, and ITSN Dahl received NAMs for their participation in the Presidential Inauguration march. Congratulations to all on a job well done!

ITSA Riverazapien received the Warrior of the Month Award for recommendation on a job well done. IT3 Segarra received a NAM for his selection as BJOY, and YN2 Ruble received a NAM for her selection as JSOY. NCMS would like to extend a job well done to these Sailors.
