Lodge Members, Once again for the Superbowl The Lodge is having a Fundraising Party to support Lodge Veterans activities. Please make your plans to watch the game at The Lodge and support the Vets it is a great time and something you can feel great about supporting. We do need people to bring in items for the raffle such as a bottle of wine or liquor and a few volunteers are also needed to help on the day of the event. Lodge Members, Saturday January 30th your Lodge will host the District’s Annual Charity Dinner Dance. This event raises funds for Members of the Order of Elks who have fallen on hard times due to unforeseen circumstances. Tickets are $20 per person which includes dinner and entertainment. The theme of this year’s event is 50’s – 60’s and dressing in period attire would be appropriate. Please try to attend this event as it is the kickoff of our 130th year. The last day to reserve tickets in advance is Monday January 20th and are available at the bar or call the Lodge office. This event is the kickoff to the 130th Year of Albany Lodge #49 and it will be great if we can have strong attendance from #49's membership. Pride in 49, Bob Carey ER/PER STATE CAPITAL DISTRICT ELKS CHARITY JANUARY 30, 2016 BUFFET DINNER 6:00 PM DANCING TO THE MUSICE OF THE 50 & 60's DINNER TICKETS $20.00 PER PERSONS $1,000.00 1st PRIZE $1.00 A CHANCE SEE BILL GEBHARDT FOR TICKETS This is the 38th annual fundraiser and the purpose is to raise money so the Elks of the district can receive monetary assistance after they suffer some sort of disaster of illness. The Lodge committee member present their case to the committee and the committee decides how much the Elk is to receive. The money that they receive is used for rent, food, utilities. Other than the committee know one know who the person is or how much they receive If needed they again apply again for assistance. This fundraiser is the only means of raising money and over the past years we have had members of Lodge #49 receive assistance.
