We wanted to thank all who came out to support "Warbirds Over Addison" this past weekend. We had a great time performing for the crowds and did a record number of warbird rides. As a gift, from us to you, here is a shot of the Skyraider making passes for the camera last Saturday evening. Thanks to all of the pilots, volunteers, and members for making the event a success! www.cavflight.org

WWII Naval aviator, Rufus Kirk, was reunited today with one of the aircraft he flew, the Wildcat. Rufus exclaimed "The Japanese would hammer away at us but the Wildcat was so tough, they would use up all of their ammunition and still not shoot us down." He goes on to say " The Wildcat was the best dog fighter against the Zero, it taught the Hellcat pilots how to fight them." This is why we keep them flying! www.cavflight.org

DR 1 ASSEMBLY
Our volunteers are so fast, it only took a little over a minute to put our DR 1 back together! HA, more like 4 hours! Thanks to all of the volunteers who disassembled 3 of our WWI planes, loaded them on a truck and then assembled them at the Maxwell AFB show. Then took them down and shipped them back and assembled them again for the museum! We have an amazing group of volunteers! https://vimeo.com/214729057
