Do you have $4828 burning a hole in your pocket? Do you want the best cartridge and phono stage available that us mere mortals can posses for under $5k? Then you want the Ortofon Cadenza Black and the Lehmann Decade Phono Stage. The Cadenza Black is the top of Ortofon's LOMC range, with the exception of the limited production models. The Lehmann Decade is the second to the TOTL phono stage built by Norbert Lehmann. Obviously, PhonoNuts doesn't stock the cartridge or phono stage, but can order them for you. For considerably less of an investment, you can still get awesome sound from the Ortofon Quintet Black S, and the Black Cube SE phono stage. The Quintet we do have on demo. It's quite a cartridge. It's available for $999. If you're not ready to take the plunge into low output moving coil cartridges, consider the 2M Black and the Black Cube Statement. PhonoNuts has posted about them before. You can hear both at Al Bum's Record Shoppe; our house SL-1200 M3D runs a 2M Black. The 2M Black retails for $755. Come and upgrade your sound today!

They don't make equipment quite like they used to. Whether it's audio equipment or laundry machines, stuff just isn't built to last like the good ol' days. This past week, the PhonoNuts had to replace their washer and dryer, and dang if that wasn't expensive. So, we're having a bit of a sale. Come in and ask the secret question, "What's a F70 error?" and you can get 10% off your purchase.

Now playing at PhonoNuts... A refurbished Phillips 312 turntable. This is a belt drive turntable, with a suspended subchasis design, similar to the venerable AR XA. It has a vintage Audio-Technica cartridge with a new aftermarket .3 X .7 mil elliptical stylus installed. This table has had the unreliable original power switch replaced with a new Alps switch. Its a great starter turntable with servo control and auto shut off. You can take it home for $180.

Now available at PhonoNuts, inside Al Bum's Record Shoppe. A refurbished Pioneer SX-737 receiver. This receiver was rebuilt by our Electronic Engineering partner in, Texas, sounds, looks, and operates like new. The SX-737 is a high-quality stereo receiver featuring 35 watts per channel, min RMS at 8 ohms from 20 Hertz to 20,000 Hertz with no more than 0.5% total harmonic distortion. It has the power to do the job - not too much and not too little. Pioneer's medium-powered SX-737 stereo receiver doesn't waste watts, yet it gives you the latest state-of-the-art advantages for versatility and true high fidelity performance. Accurate high fidelity reproduction of all sounds is achieved by using a particularly precise phono equalizer in the Pioneer SX-737 - it keeps RIAA deviation within ±0.3dB. As a stereo control center the SX-737 is hard to beat - there are two stereo pairs of tape deck connections with monitoring and tape-to-tape duplication facilities (deck 1, deck 2), a function switch to allow control of the FM and AM tuner sections, a stereo Phono, a microphone and a stereo AUX. You can take this Pioneer home for $400. Come and get it today!
