Well this is a long drawn out process to open the tearooms. We have to get it right with it being a listed building. We are intending to add a disabled ramp at the front of the mill to gain access to the tearooms which will carry on to the outside decking at the front and the back of the mill. Today we had another meeting with listed buildings and planning to make sure drawings and plans are all heading in the right direction. We are using the old stone from the house that used to be here to make a wall around the rear decking to reuse the materials. We are still hoping for this season but everything takes so long to put into place. The mill race has been completely dug out and now runs freely back to the river.

Seventh Heaven Antique Beds in Chirk are offering an exciting opportunity to fit into our unique business. We are looking for more than just a sales assistant to join our small team to sell antique beds, mattresses, bedding and bed linen in our Chirk Mill showroom. The right candidate will be trained to understand the various products we sell and the soft-sell techniques we use. Over time the candidate will take on more responsibilities, which will include selling via e-mail correspondence, selling over the telephone and office management tasks. Must be a people's person, highly trustworthy and have experience in similar customer service roles. A certain amount of computer literacy is advantageous to use MS Word, Excel, Outlook and basic photo editing. A degree of literacy is essential to write e-mails. Must be willing to "muck-in" with the rest of the team while the business grows. Must be willing to work some weekends. Wage level starting at £7.75 per hour, but this will rise with proven suitability and experience. Part time. located in Wrexham LL145BU. The front decking area has been extended to give us a lovely large seating area to the front of the mill.

Does anyone have a special scone recipe for me to try. Plain, fruit, cheese, olive etc, etc. Would be very much appreciated. if your exact recipe is used on the permanent menu you will receive a free scone once a week for life. I'm hoping the menu for Seventh Heaven Tearooms will be a reflection of the local community's requests and desires.

We are making progress around the back of the mill as we wait patiently for listed buildings for any work to start inside. In the meantime I am starting to think about the menu. I'm asking all of you for your suggestions for sandwich fillings favourite or unusual. If we try it on our specials or include it on the menu we will send you a voucher to be used in the tearoom.
