We would like to introduce Lilly, one of our golden oldies. She came in to see us as her loving owners had spotted a lump growing on her side. We preformed an operation to remove the lump and are pleased that she has made a full recovery and feeling a lot better now the lump isn't bothering her. It is very important to check our pets for lumps particularly as they get older.

Meet Poppy, she is currently a resident at Pineapple Pet sanctuary. She is feeling very sleepy at the moment as she has not long woken up after her spey. We hope she feels brighter soon and finds a loving family and forever home. We recommend speying most dogs after the age of 6 months.

This is Archie who had his very first visit to the vets today for his vaccines. He looks a bit sad and had dribbled down his ears and front legs. Many puppies experience car sickness and dribbling is often the first sign. Getting a puppy used to traveling from a young age is very important. Start with very small journeys and gradually build up. In a crate is often the best method for making them feel safe. We hope that Archie is looking a bit more cheerful when we see him in a few weeks for his next vaccine.

As dogs and cats get older, many often suffer from dental disease. The symptoms of this can include bad breath, weight loss, reluctance to eat and red or sore gums. Once anesthetised, we remove any broken or lose teeth. All the remaining healthy teeth get scaled and polished. Bad teeth not only affect the mouth but can lead to other problems around the body.
