I must be the world worst patient !! ... my hubby gets so irritated with my IMpatience to wait to get better ... There are days when I just think I'd love to do nothing but sit in front of TV but the truth is I HATE sitting still .. my creative side overflows and I want to do everything from gardening to painting to sewing ... so 4 days post op and I managed to convinced my other half to fetch me a tray and some paint .. an old small milk churn, my napkins and some PVA glue .. and after mixing up some Napleonic blue, emperors silk and old white I made a lovely purple blue like cornflowers ... I painted my old churn ... and had a quick nap 😴 whilst it dried ... then I applied a layer of PVA glue all over and dried it with my hairdryer until it was tacky ... then applied a layer of old white paint .. and again dried it with my hairdryer and hey presto ... the paint cracks and let's the cornflower colour through ... so after another nap 😴... it was all dry and I found one of my decoupage napkins I bought from EBay and PVA glued it on ... distressed it slightly .. and here's the end result .... with the addition of wild flowers cut from the hedgerow .. So What do you think !!
