Paint went on annoyingly well in minus 6 last week. I was looking for an excuse to go home early. Back this week in the lovely balmy weather to finish off.
Some more TLC for the Mikron Theatre's boat 'Tyseley'.
Just a couple of minor scratches to touch in on Tyseley.
Spent last week at Wellington Carriage Company signwriting this horse drawn carriage for the PDSA, after it had been restored and painted by Phillip Holder. Just waiting to be varnished and re-assembled now, ready to be taken to London to take part in the Lord Mayor's Show next month. That means I'll have to sit and watch the telly and see if I can spot it!
'Tasmania', signwritten at Dimmingsdale over the past few weeks. Just the reg numbers to add when I find out what they are!
Here's the other dining table jobs from this week...
Meet Ralph. A wolf in old gold and black for my hometown. Thoroughly enjoyed painting him, a proper mash up of fairground, gypsy and boat scrolls! Thanks to Bill and Bal Hague for the opportunity to be involved. www.wolvesinwolves.co.uk
Here's my little wolf, all bare and ready for decoration as part of the 'Wolves in Wolves' project. http://www.wolvesinwolves.co.uk/ He will hopefully be on display with the rest of the pack from Saturday in Wolverhampton Art Gallery. Big wolves are roaming aroung the city over the summer!
Ok. Plain black lining was hardly worthy of a post, just proving I have been doing something recently! Here's one I did earlier...I take no credit for the design, traced from the (very) peeling paint on the late Jimmy Williams' Scammell before we restored it a couple of years ago. Minimal just does not wash with showmen!
If Paddington Bear were to drive a van, I imagine it would be something like this. Lined this bonkers little 'Vantique' (in the corner of a car parts warehouse!). Kept having to stop and suck in while they drove forklifts past my bum.
I've not painted anything too inspiring the last few weeks, so instead here's one from a while back that I loved. Customer's choice of colour scheme was superb and both John (Sanderson) and I were really chuffed with the result.
