I am a solution focused counsellor and a clinical hypnotherapist.  I specialise in working with children, fertility issues, anxiety and hypno-birthing.  I have worked therapeutically for many years with children and their families.  I have a particular interest in supporting couples in their fertility journey, offering support and in relevant cases preparation for IVF.  I offer hypnosis for childbirth (hypnobirthing) courses on a 1 to 1 basis and am particularly successful in working with anxiety, panic attacks and depression.  I also have a high success rate in helping clients on the journey to becoming a non smoker.

Such a fab week I love my job! Two clients this week turned a big corner in terms of anxiety. They have gone from almost no life at all, barely leaving the safety of home not getting to college, avoiding all social situations to returning to education, initiating social engagements, getting out and about and both quite separately telling me how 'weird' it feels to be doing normal everyday things. Take regular breaks when revising for exams. Short periods of study are the best way to learn - about 40 minutes at a time then get up move around and drink some water, even get a few minutes fresh air. Then back to study for another 40 mins or so.

Some tips for better sleep. I find clients with anxiety often have a disturbed sleep pattern. Tip one stick to the same routine, get up at the same time and go to bed at the same time 7 days a week.

So now you are breathing properly and practising it every day, several times a day you are ready to face your fears. You need to become aware of your triggers and before you go into those situations make sure you are using your optimal breathing. Remember anxiety is just your brain giving your body false messages.....
