Stress-Anxiety-fear-Depression-Anger are emotional symptoms that are produced because of an adapted ‘fight and flight’ response. These days we rarely face life threatening situations, so most of our stress is a result of psychological stress, much of which is self-induced, caused not by what happens to us, but how we respond to it. e.g. by being self-critical, “What if” thinking, worrying what others will think of us, ruminating, analysing, trying to be perfect, good, feeling constantly in demand, or feeling like we need to repeatedly check things like your mobile phone etc. Any of that sound familiar? When these thoughts become too much we may start to feel that we can no longer cope, feeling emotionally overwhelmed. Our efforts to improve our situation may be hampered by unhelpful thoughts or behaviours which increase our stress, e.g. smoking, drinking too much, feelings of guilt or shame and trying to hide our uncomfortable feelings. If you would like to learn how to deal with your stress more effectively then therapy can help you address your issue and make any adaption you feel would improve your quality of life. Our minds and emotions effect us physically, we understand this in lots of every day ways, embarrassment can cause blushing, sadness evokes tears and so on, therefore it is no surprise that calming the mind can have other beneficial effects on our bodies and vice versa. Make sure your self care practice includes your mind.😀

Phobias whats yours? Solution focussed Hypnotherapy uses a technique called "The fast Phobia Cure" which is described in this informational piece from The Guardian
An understanding of chronic pain that can help us move towards a recovery from it.
The old metaphor applies: resilient people are like bamboo in a hurricane--they bend rather than break. Or, even if they feel like they’re broken for a time, there’s still a part of them deep inside that knows they won’t be broken forever.
Here’s what brain research says will make you happy: Ask “What am I grateful for?” No answers? Doesn’t matter. Just searching helps. Label those negative emotions. Give it a name and your brain isn’t so bothered by it. Decide. Go for “good enough” instead of “best decision ever made on Earth.” Hugs, hugs, hugs. Don’t text — touch.
