Coppice Fanfare 1992-2017. Very, very sad day yesterday with the passing of this wonderful old stallion. So handsome, a real gentleman and a prolific stockgetter, he has left some lovely ridden stock with super temperaments. His son Dryknowl Colcarrick will continue his good work here - but there will never be another Fanfare! Lovely, lovely boy.

FOR SALE OR LEASE FROM THE COPPICE STUD: Grey licensed stallion, 41”, Abbotsford Ice Cube (Lolly) by Southley Pimpernel ex Southley Pipit – good Southley breeding. Born 2004 (13 this time). Big, free moving pony with an exquisite head. Throws big, quality stock with super temperaments and lovely heads. Will live out happily with his mares and foals. Broken to ride and shown lightly under saddle as a six year old. For sale or long lease to a serious home as we are rationalising our breeding stock and he will not be used this year. If he’s not placed by the 2017 covering season he will most likely be gelded and re-schooled as a future top ridden pony. Be very sad to lose his lovely bloodlines but we have to ensure that he has a happy future. Based in Warwickshire close to M40. Price negotiable to the right home. FOR SALE FROM THE COPPICE STUD: Chestnut licensed stallion 37.5”, Coppice Everyman (Little Ginger) by Coppice Bobby Blue ex Coppice Eloise. Born 2003 (14 this time). Little Ginger is a big pony in a medium sized package and really packs a punch. Very substantial, good bone, lots of hair and a sensible temperament. Easy to do. He has thrown good sized foals on bigger mares. He lives out happily with his mares and foals or is equally happy in the stable. He has been under-used here as we have so many stallions and he hasn’t been shown either but would be gorgeous in hand – he really moves and has masses of presence. For sale through no fault of his own as we are cutting down our breeding stallions. If he hasn’t been placed with a suitable serious home by the 2017 covering season he will be gelded and either we shall break him to drive or we’ll take him out in hand for a bit of fun and he will be for sale. We’ll be sorry to lose him as a stallion but we can’t keep them all and it is important that he has a happy life and a job to do. Based in Warwickshire. FOR SALE. FUTURE RIDDEN PROSPECT: COPPICE MATILDA MAY, 3 year old black filly to make 41". By Sapphire Vasheer ex Southfieldgate Myrtle. Show quality filly with exceptional movement and masses of presence. Shown in hand lightly as a two and three year old, travelled and stabled on her own at her first sleepover, good as gold. Super in hand and will make a top ridden pony. Originally retained by the stud for breeding but as we won’t be covering her for a few years it would be a shame if she’s not allowed to reach her potential. Fab weekend at the National Shetland Performance Show at Malvern. COPPICE BELLA ROSA had a good two days, winning the Open Championship on Saturday with Bonnie and Reserve LR Championship on Sunday with Hermione. Nine year old mare by Coppice Fanfare ex Coppice Briar Rose. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make the show a huge success again and to all my friends for their help and lovely company.
