The Cow Shed Restaurant
Description
Wakefield city center based Restaurant serving modern British food. Well known for our steak, but also serving fresh fish and offering vegetarian dishes, we cater for all tastes. Children are welcome.
The Cow Shed (situated opposite the post office), is the stunning Grade 2 listed building around which Joanne Harris created the book Chocolat, adapted into the famous film.
The elegant 16th century building with original features including crested ceiling, has been beautifully refurbished and opened in 2003 to rave reviews.
With its open grill and cosmopolitan atmosphere, the COW SHED has quickly gained a reputation for excellence. The COW SHED has added a new dimension to Wakefield's restaurant scene.
We cannot take bookings via our Facebook page, therefore to book a table at our Restaurant, please contact us on 01924 291044 between 12pm and 2pm or after 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Hello everyone! We are still waiting on a replacement card machine, it was supposed to be delivered this morning but no sign yet!! So unfortunately we will not be able to take card payments this evening unless it arrives. There is a cash point just around the corner from the restaurant on Cross Street.
