I've been a busy little bee of late and haven't had time to jot down a few lines and that's just not good!! Just to let you know though, we will be open FRIDAY ONLY this week as we are at a funeral on Thursday and have another commitment on Saturday Sorry folks ... We will have cakes and steaming tea at the ready though.... Lovely china tea sets and other ideas for gifts if you're looking for something a little different and dresses ready for trying on upstairs.

Sometimes when things are added to our diary we have a countdown to something we both look forward to. We both lead busy lives and time together and with friends is precious to us. After a lovely walk with my four legged friend we set off earlier than planned so I could squeeze in a retro fair at Cowan Bridge and a catch up with some lovely ladies! (If you're free tomorrow do pop over and have tea and cake while you're there!). Then off to meet our lovely friends for a clay shoot followed by a super meal. In a nutshell, amazing scenery, great company, wonderful food, tons of laughter and relaxation. It's just a shame we can't do this every day!! We do have something lovely planned for tomorrow though. Autumn always makes me smile. It's my favourite month. I really love collecting in the harvest for the winter months ahead. Damson gin and brandy, apples for crumbles and pies, pear and rhubarb chutney... the list goes on and 'H' has picked 10lb of grapes and is already starting making the wine! I've got roast lamb in the oven ready to eat with home grown carrots, marrow and parsnips and feeling really relaxed. I then get two absolutely amazing pieces of news that has me bursting with excitement! ( sorry can't tell you as it's not my news!), but I will say there are going to be SIX very happy folk out there very soon!!! I'm also on countdown for my new great nephew arriving around November and I just can't wait!! There's so much happening just now I don't seem to be able to take in all this wonderful news! And I know there's more to come...... But more of that another time! I'm off to snuggle my four legged companion by the log fire ..... With a glass of red. Happy Sunday my lovelies!!! Xx

OPEN Saturday What a wonderful start to your weekend! A good giggle, tea and cake and goodies galore. If it's anything like today then there's more clothes going to new homes! Today was full of little people, laughter and new folk calling in. Today was a good day! This dress sold before it went on the hanger...... Sorry! First come first served! Lots more upstairs......

Looks tike it's going to be a sunny day! Whatever you're doing hope you have fun..... I'm picking more plums (picked over 40lb already!), blackberries and apples, hopefully some gardening, more sorting (do I ever stop I ask myself???), going for a lazy brunch with 'H', making pies and hopefully jam. Oh yes, and if I get time I'm sure there'll be a pot of tea and a good book somewhere in the garden. I love sunny September days and the most important thing about the whole day?? It would have been my mums birthday! A lady full of LOVE and laughter who always had time for everyone. How lucky were we to have such an amazing mum!???!! XXXXXXXXXXX. The photo is of the roses I got I've put it on to say thanks to Lynn BUT it comes with a title "In the Pink", Only mum and us know why! Special days and precious memories. xxxxxxxx

I think today has got me going round in circles. I'm trying to do 101 different things and not getting very far! Life is throwing so much at me at the moment and I don't have enough hours in the day! I'm not complaining, in fact I'm quite enjoying these new challenges but decisions have to be made and it's having a knock on effect to my day to day life! Positive though so I will just ' go with it! ' I'm already feeling autumnal and love the buzz I get with this season. I love the colours the season brings. Wearing thick tights and cashmere. Lovely walks and cosy pub meals with 'H' and home made walnut shortbread and frothy coffee from my lovely vintage flask! Oh what a happy little bee I am! Very contented indeedy!!! If you're calling in to violets next week do pop upstairs and have a look at the clothes and bags for sale. Or have a mooch at the jewellery downstairs. A warm welcome awaits! Xx
