facebook.com19 acres of fertiliser out this afternoon, 12 acres was on reseeded ground and would of been too soft for a tractor and the other 7 was on wet ground that a tractor wouldn't of been able to go on either but as always no problem for the quad.
Cutting rushes today for a local farmer on rough steep grazing ground, thankfully this ground is dry buy was still awkward as it was so steep but managed to get the job done no problem
Spraying rushes this evening for 2 farmers, one outside Ballymoney and the other in swatragh. Both fields where wet in places and a tractor would have struggled getting through it but managed to get both jobs done
Some cutting tonight for a local farmer. Ground wet in places after all the rain there has been over the last few weeks and some of the fields were steep aswell but managed to get the job done.
Brought in by the farmer that owns this ground to spray for dockings and chick weed. This ground was ploughed and reseeded about 8-10 weeks ago and a lot of chickweed and docking have came up with the grass which has been very common over the past 2-3 years. After the torrential rain there has been in the area since Wednesday it was as not accessible by tractor and the quad was the only option and did not leave a mark as always.
Sowing Fertiliser this morning for Michael Davitts GAC Swatragh, pitches are in perfect condition and with the light footprint of the quad and sower you wouldn't even know anyone was a n the pitch with machinery
Some power shredding over the last few days. Ground is soft and would mark badly if done with a tractor but as normal was no problem with the quad.
Took delivery of a new Quad X weed wiper yesterday morning and straight to work today wiping rushes in Upperlands. This ground is soft at the best of times but after the heavy rain all day yesterday made things tricky but got the job done and I'm very happy with the new wiper
Spraying ground for a local farmer this evening, hay was cut off this field about 4 weeks ago and since then there has been an infestation of dockings. With the rain there was on Sunday and Monday morning it was soft in places and so ideal for the quad.
Busy day today in the glorious sunshine. 75 acres sprayed between Portsteward , Bolerain and Swatragh. Ground was sprayed for mostly rushes nettles and thistles. Let's hope the weather holds out for another few days to get more spraying done
Mulching and sowing fertiliser this week, mulching rushes and heavy over grown grass around swatragh,all done with ease with the machine. 70 acres of fertiliser put out on grazing ground and second cut silage ground.
