It is a sad day for us at Bethany. Yesterday a dear man of God, David Streater went to be with His Lord Jesus. We feel a deep hole in our fellowship, but are comforted in the joy that there is now no more suffering or pain for him, only joy everlasting in Heaven. Please pray for Valerie and the family.
This Wednesday at our Bible study at the church we are going to look at the life of Abraham. We are going to discover that God used the failures of Abraham's lack of trust to take him on a spiritual journey, so that the ultimate test of faith for Abraham could be passed. The ultimate test of course being Abraham's faith to believe that the sacrifice of his son Isaac was God's will and he could trust God in it. And so it proved - see Hebrews chapter 11:8-12. What a gracious and loving God we have.
