Private members bar, live sport, live entertainment all weekend, great atmosphere, great decor, door staff. Great drinks promotions ! W.50 is the new name for the Woodfield club or Woodys Bar on Crown street in Morriston, originally started as a Social Club and run with members and a commitee it was later purchased and run as a private members club, after a short closure myself (Martyn) and decided to re-open the club.
After many a meeting with South Wales Police and the Licensing Team at Swansea City Council, we were granted a License with quite a few conditions, one of which was to open as a private members club, this was accepted with open arms and finally opened its doors to Members old and new on October the 4th 2013
A lot of hard work and an extensive revamp of the decor in the bar area offers an ambiance with low level lighting, attractive under-lit bar and many tv screens to view live sport etc.
Weekends offer live music from the lounge area with the finest quality bands, acts and duos on the circuit! All this comes at just a members fee of less than 20p a week, we also provide door staff inside and outside the venue to ensure non entry of non members and unruly people.
In all a clean safe environment with cheap drinks and an amazing atmosphere! 'The new place to bring your Wife, Girlfriend, Mother or Gran and not worry about a thing!' as one of our members said!
