One of our amazing Hebridean white tailed eagles photographed on North Uist this week. Look how big it is !!! One of our holidaymakers wrote in the guest book that she'd seen eagles from Moorfield every single day of their holidays. They are truly magnificent and I never fail to get a kick out of seeing them soaring above the house.
When you have through the window at Moorfield, down the Glen towards St Clement's Church and over to The Isle Of Skye your eyes will be drawn to the silvery blue ribbon of The Minch, the channel that separates the Outer Hebrides from Skye. That is the actual stretch of water where Flora Macdonald rowed Bonnie Prince Charlie and immortalised in a story sung for ever "over the sea to Skye".

Another wonderful coastal day trip for people living and holidaying in Harris.
The Shiant isles are totally magical. We've been looking after the dogs of Seamus's customers for a few years now while they join him on trips to St Kilda. We're happy to look after our holidaymakers dogs for them if they want to book a trip with Seamus on any of his Isle Of Harris Sea Tours.
Bit of a bargain for anyone who wants to escape the snow. Come and stay with us for a few nights.
