Stonehouse Jubilee Club
Description
Stonehouse Jubilee Club offers a social setting for people with dementia, and their carer. Music, quizzes, outings and a "listening ear" for carers. The SJC was founded in March 2012 and is a unique meeting place for people with Alzheimers and other forms of dementia, and their carers. We meet on Thursday afternoons from 1.30 - 3.30 in the Lifestyles Centre, Stonehouse where we have fun quizzes designed to aid memory, music and singalongs, activities, outings, regular live musicians and a lot of laughs. The majority of our volunteers have experience of caring for a loved one with a dementia and are happy to offer a "listening ear" to carers.

Another entertaining afternoon with the Jubilee Jammers and members celebrating St Patrick's Day
A big thank you to Ian Murray and Allan Smith, half of the Clyde Valley Ceilidh Band who entertained us so wonderfully this afternoon. You had the place buzzing boys! Well done! Thanks so much for playing the right music to get them up on their feet and singing their wee socks off! I have a feeling you'll be invited back before the year is out!!
What a day!! What a fantastic afternoon with the Clyde Valley Ceilidh Band (well half of them anyway!!) 😂In the 6 years since our Jubilee Club has been going (our birthday will be the 12th March) I have never seen so many of our members on the dance floor at the same time....without the added benefit of booze!! 😊I would just like to thank all the members who wore tartan and joined in the singing and dancing but a big thank you to our great team of volunteers who work so enthusiastically and happily together to provide refreshments, laughter, friendship while integrating so brilliantly with our members. TEAM...you make me proud.Thank you!
....and so many dancing today! Fantastic afternoon of fun.
