Stonehouse Folk Club
Description
The folk club meets in St. Ninian's Church Hall, Vicars Road, Stonehouse, on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month from September until June. The club starts at 8.30pm and is BYOB, however no spirits are allowed.
For more info contact: 01698 792479 Over the years many well established groups and solo artists have appeared at the club. The club has also given many local singer/songwriters and groups the opportunity to perform and raise their profile on the folk and traditional music circuit. The club has supported many local musical events as well as having ventured further afield and since the recent move to the church hall, the club has thrived, bringing better acts and bigger audiences through the doors.
The second Friday of the month is usually an act, eg a group or solo artist, and the fourth Friday is a session night so feel free to bring along your instrument and either do a floor spot on the second Friday or just jam along in the session on the fourth (dates may sometimes vary, please see posters and leaflets for any changes to this schedule).
