• A Surprise from Singing Sue • This is Ellie. Ellie is a former SSVA student who emigrated to Australia 🇦🇺 I have kept in touch with her musical progress (by the power of Facebook) and I am pleased to inform you she is doing exceptionally well with her musical theatre work. Ellie has been back visiting family here in England and I was fortunate to bump into her gorgeous Mum today in M&S, she told me Ellie was further up the aisles buying Percy Pig sweets (!) so I hatched a plan...... 😆😎🕵🏻‍♀️ I hid in the aisle while Ellies mum stood looking at the food at the end, as they walked round the corner I had my back to them and belted out the SSVA song and motto 🎵"Sing with all your Heart!" 🎵 Well, she span round and jumped into my waiting arms!!! It was the most precious moment ever! Needless to say we had a good catch up and it was just so lovely. I miss Ellie and her family but I know we'll stay in touch here in Facebook. Safe journey home guys 💋

• SINGER OF THE WEEK IS: ESME • What a delightful student Esme is! She works hard from start to finish and she's only 6! She's focused and committed to learning. Tonight I used Esme as an example (as she knew all her lyrics) and asked her to the front to demonstrate to the whole youth choir. She was completely unfazed and certainly did 'sing with all her heart'. How did she achieve this for one so young? Easy! She learned her lyrics so her confidence soared, it's as easy as that 😊 Esme, I am super proud of you and well done for earning this weeks award. Love Singing Sue 🎵

***YOUTH CHOIR** A fab night full of fun, hard work, determination and rewards. Great progress being made, some of you just need to start nailing your lyrics to help with confidence and vocal development. You have been an absolute pleasure, as always. To our poorly children, get well soon, we missed you xx Lots of musical love from Singing Sue xx

Ok, so this is getting ridiculous! Tonight's lost property is being modelled by the fashionista models from 'The Mitchell and Ollie company' As you can see, The PURPLE tones of the RAINCOAT really set off Mitchell's hair tones ....... and Ollie really sets off the 'sleeves too short' look of the BLACK LEATHER COAT. They are both fine looking models and they thank you for the opportunity in wearing your lost clothing. Good evening 🙄

• YOUTH CHOIR: LOST PROPERTY • Wow! Thanks for my new teaching drink bottle, I can fit LOTS of VODKA into it! It's fantastic, not sure about the team though.... 🤔 As for the clothing, not my size I'm afraid but Ollie 👱🏻says he's grateful for HIS new clothing. He likes the new 'gap hoodie' and 'sparkly top' but he especially likes his new fur trimmed coat to keep him warm for his walk to school ❄️ Thanks for your generosity 💋

**YOUTH CHOIR: TONIGHT** Another fantastic night! Well done everyone. I loved the singing rounds and experimenting with harmony lines and group work. The one thing I noticed tonight was, regardless of age, each and every child had a go at everything taught to them and didn't bat an eyelid,. I LOVE THIS! I love their "Who cares? I'm enjoying this" attitude. A huge welcome to new members GRACE and OLIVIA who made a fantastic start tonight and they didn't stop smiling from start to end! This now means the Youth Choir is FULL but we will continue to take names for a waiting list. Poorly people 'Get well soon' we missed you. Congratulations to OLIVER, ERIN & ISABELLA for being chosen to represent their school at tonights open evening. I can totally see why they were selected, they are very sensible and well mannered children and I am very proud of them. Singer of the week: Not given out this week as the trophy is broken. Emails with tonights song on will be sent asap and I will inform you on here when it has been sent. Thanks everyone Love Singing Sue xxxxx
