Help Darren Smith win Goal of The Month - head on over to the SPFL Facebook to vote for his thunderbolt against Berwick Rangers
BINOS BAG BRACE IN LADBROKES AWARDS Stirling Albion’s successful August has been marked by an awards double in Ladbrokes League 2. Binos boss Dave Mackay has been voted Manager of the Month after our best start to a league season for 13 years and Darren Smith was named Player of the Month after scoring six goals in four matches. We kicked off the season with a 3-2 win at Stenhousemuir then beat Berwick Rangers (4-0) and Edinburgh City (2-0) at Forthbank before ending the month with a terrific 4-2 victory at Peterhead. Dave said: “Mine is really a team award so I’m delighted for the players. It’s been a good start but we need to maintain our standards, starting with the Clyde game on Saturday. “Darren has been excellent for us this season. I always felt he was capable of adding more goals to his game and he has certainly done that.” Congratulations to Dave and Darren from all at SAFC!
