Blair Drummond Smiddy is on the site of a redundant smiddy for the local area and includes a shop, cafe and butchery. We celebrate local, seasonal produce with a fantastic range of meats, groceries, meals and snacks.
Most of the meat in our butchery comes from within 10 miles, much of it just a stone's throw away. Old Leckie and Knock O'Ronald, Gargunnock, provide beef, lamb and pork, with additional beef from Lochfield, Doune. Our butchers, Stewart and Colin, are always happy to help and advise with what ever you require. We cure our own bacon, have an excellent range of homemade sausages and steak pies. We also have organic Shetland Beef from West Moss-side Farm, Thornhill. This is a rare breed species and not only tastes great but also plays an important role in helping to maintain the ecology of the fragile Flanders Moss.
Whether you're looking for a coffee and homemade cake, hearty meal or a coffee and bacon roll to go, our cafe will cater for your needs. With stunning views across the Carse to the Gargunnock Hills and friendly staff, it's a great place for a bite to eat. All of our food is make fresh on site, with meat provided by our butchers.
The shop stocks everything from cheese and olives, to fresh bread, vegetables and home-ware. We also have a great selection of wines, beers and soft drinks and plenty more stock on the way. We have a range of lovely gifts and cards with some gorgeous creations by local artists and potters.
